Kyu In Lee, PhD

Securing the smart, connected, and cyber-physical systems that increasingly run our world.

Biography

Dr. Lee is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Information Science Technology, Cullen College of Engineering at the University of Houston. He obtained his Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2022. His research interests broadly lie in the security and privacy of smart, connected, and cyber-physical systems. Active projects span mobile and wearable systems, Internet-of-Things, advanced vehicular systems (V2V, V2P, and intra-vehicle), and VR/XR and immersive computing. Across these areas, his lab develops secure and usable authentication, pairing, and sensing primitives that leverage real-world physical context to prove device coexistence and resist remote adversaries.
